Robin Hood’s Bay required an umbrella band which would encapsulate this unique seaside location with a hint of its smuggling history.

The brand would be used on quality themed merchandise, food and drinks products and event items. Baytown is the old name for Robin Hood’s Bay and harks back to a murky time of smuggling and organised dissent – the name is still fondly used by locals but is little known outside the local area. To celebrate the town’s history a range of beers were conceived and designed for retail, pub and hotel sale. Featuring the illustrations of Shropshire book jacket illustrator Chris Brown, the labels were designed to capture the spirit of local characters of the time. The labels were printed on silver metalised stock and were set up with white printing as a 5th spot colour to give selective metal effects to the finished labels.
